Right after I got my Treo, I tried pilot-link to see if there is any way I can use my FreeBSD workstation for even some basic functionality. I was amazed. Pilot-link exceded my expectations. I could have never guessed that support for palm devices for unix was that great. I was successfull in backing up my palm, installing new software into my Treo etc. I especially liked the remote shell into my Treo via the USB cable. The only thing that version 0.11.8 was missing was the ability to copy files to the external flash card. I was very suprised to discover that the main developer had just added that functionality in version 0.12.0-pre4. I did try downloading and compiling 0.12.0-pre4 and it worked like a charm. Outstanding job. Highly recommended to all palm/unix users out there.
